Wow! The election is over and we're seeing lots of searches for Obama tattoos, Obama shirts, Obama buttons etc. Obama is one popular president elect.
Only found a few Obama tattoos - this one doesn't quite nail it, imho, maybe it's the angle.
Do you know of any good examples of Barack Obama tattoos or other related political tattoos, like "Yes We Can" or "Si Se Puede" or "Progress"? Would love to post them here if you do!

Hugh MacLeod over at gapingvoid.com posted about a real live inked tattoo of his famous Blue Monster design. The Monster was designed for his buddies at Microsoft. Wow, 2 geek-tattoo posts in 2 days. Amazing. Here's a link to the Blue Monster Tattoo post.
Tattoos for geeks? Well, why not? The OP got one of Tux ala the graffiti style IBM ads. (not a geek? wonder who Tux is: look at the pic in this article, Tux is the penguin on the lower right, you know Linux, computer operating system? OK fine, just take my word for it) The discussion is interesting, but you'll have to head to the links to Flickr for the pics. Lots of discussion on how they might regret it later and other examples of tattoo ideas ala geek. What do you think?
Didn't know there could be heavy metals or other toxic chemicals hiding in the ink under your skin? Yep, there could be and the FDA hasn't traditionally regulated the pigments and formulas that make up the inks used to make your tattoo.
Think you can read the label? Think again. Manufacturers aren't required to label them since they don't sell to consumers and yet some of the inks used for tattooing contain things you might not want hanging around in your body.
A study done by the University of Northern Arizona found that some are not even rated for use on people, but instead are meant for industrial use!
Does this mean you'll get sick if you get or already have a tattoo? No, different people are affected different ways, and your inks may not contain those things - but it pays to be careful.

Megan Fox has some great tattoos and I really admire her 'in-your-face' attitude about them towards Hollywood. She's got quite a few tats, actually. Pictured on her shoulder: we will all laugh at gilded butterflies.
She seems to favor scripty words for her tattoos.
Here's some of the rest:
- on her left side, under her arm, along her ribs.
- on her right hip, really low
- on her inner right forearm
- inside her left wrist
- inside her right ankle
She'll be reprising her role in the next Transformers movie.
Summer seems to be the time for tattoos. Must have something to do with running around on the beach or at the lake half naked. Party! Anyhow, here's a few of the popular tattoo designs we've seen this summer.

Ethereal designs, open and light like a summer breeze. These designs are are open and free flowing, incorporating organic curves with butterflies and dragonflies. Accent them with your favorite color.

Flowers are summer. What better way to keep summer with you always, than to have a small flower to remind you. Sweet and romantic.

Things with wings. Another popular theme this summer - more butterfly and dragonfly motifs. Love the stars and flowers in the background.
So pick out a little summer and enjoy!
